Care Instructions
Hand-painted Leather
-
Handle with clean, dry hands whenever possible.
-
Keep away from excessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, and high heat.
-
Do not soak, machine wash, or expose the painted leather to rain or excessive water.
-
Avoid alcohol, acetone, bleach, oils, leather conditioners, cleaning wipes, and other chemicals on painted areas unless specifically approved by the artist.
-
Do not scrub or use abrasive materials on the painted surface.
-
For light dust or surface dirt, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Avoid excessive rubbing against clothing, furniture, jewelry, or other rough surfaces.
-
Do not place heavy or abrasive objects directly against painted areas.
-
Store in a cool, dry environment, preferably in a breathable dust bag rather than an airtight plastic container.
-
Keep leather properly supported during storage to help prevent creasing or distortion.
-
Allow any moisture to dry naturally; do not use a hair dryer or other direct heat source.
-
Normal handling and use may eventually cause surface wear, fading, cracking, or other changes to the painted finish.
-
If cleaning, conditioning, repair, or restoration is needed, consult the artist before applying any product to the painted areas.
Hand-painted Denim
-
Hand wash inside out in cold water when cleaning is necessary.
-
Use a mild detergent; avoid bleach, fabric softener, and harsh stain removers.
-
Do not soak for extended periods.
-
Do not scrub directly over painted areas.
-
Gently reshape and air dry. Avoid high-heat dryers.
-
Do not iron directly over painted areas or embellishments. If ironing is necessary, turn the garment inside out and use low heat with a protective cloth.
-
Avoid excessive friction against rough surfaces, bags, or other garments.
-
Store clean and completely dry.
-
Because denim is a flexible, wearable surface, normal wear may eventually cause changes to the painted finish.
Acrylic on Canvas
-
Display indoors in a relatively stable environment, away from prolonged direct sunlight.
-
Keep away from excessive humidity, moisture, fireplaces, heating vents, and air-conditioning vents.
-
Do not place objects directly against the painted surface.
-
Dust gently with a clean, soft, dry brush or microfiber cloth.
-
Do not use water, glass cleaner, furniture polish, or household cleaning products on the painting.
-
Do not scrub, rub, or attempt to remove marks from the painted surface.
-
Handle the artwork by the edges or stretcher bars, rather than touching the painted surface.
-
If the painting becomes damaged or requires significant cleaning or restoration, consult a professional art conservator.
Indoor Murals
-
Allow the mural to fully cure according to the artist's specified timeframe before cleaning or exposing it to heavy use.
-
Keep the surface free from excessive moisture when possible.
-
For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water.
-
Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, pressure washers, stiff brushes, or solvents on the painted surface.
-
Never scrub aggressively over painted areas.
-
Address leaks, condensation, mold, or persistent moisture promptly.
-
Avoid placing objects directly against the mural where they may repeatedly rub against the painted surface.
-
Outdoor murals may naturally experience fading, weathering, and surface wear over time, even when properly maintained.
-
Any touch-ups, repairs, or repainting should be discussed with the artist before another product or coating is applied.
Hand-embellished Sunglasses
-
Handle by the arms and frame, rather than pulling on embellishments.
-
Store in a protective case when not in use.
-
Keep away from excessive heat, prolonged direct sunlight, and high humidity.
-
Do not soak or submerge.
-
Clean lenses gently with a soft microfiber cloth and appropriate lens cleaner.
-
Avoid applying cleaners, alcohol, acetone, or other solvents directly to painted or embellished areas.
-
Do not place the sunglasses loose in a purse or bag where they can rub against other objects.
-
Avoid dropping, bending, or placing heavy objects on the sunglasses.
-
Allow lotions, oils, and sunscreen to dry before handling whenever possible.
Pencil Portraits
-
Display behind glass or acrylic glazing, preferably with UV protection.
-
Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and areas with high humidity.
-
Avoid touching the drawing surface; oils from hands can transfer to the paper.
-
Do not use water, cleaning products, or erasers on the finished artwork.
-
Dust the frame and glazing only with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Keep away from fireplaces, heating vents, kitchens, bathrooms, and other environments with significant temperature or humidity fluctuations.
-
If the artwork is not framed, store it flat in a clean, dry, archival-quality protective sleeve or portfolio.
