Service Description
Rate includes up to 10 miles from 789 Leggett Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. A travel fee applies starting at 11 miles beyond this point. Preference can paint 10-20 small, advanced designs per hour. For very simple cheek-sized designs, between 20-30 faces can be painted. The more detailed the designs requested, the more time is needed. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What age groups do you work with? The ability to sit still overrides age, but it is recommended for ages 3 and up; details are adjusted based on the individual. What type of paint do you use? Professional quality, hypoallergenic, FDA approved cosmetic grade paint that is safe for skin How long does the paint last? The paint is not waterproof and does not withstand pouring sweat or water drenching. It can, however, last for at least an hour in cool, indoor environments, as long as it has a chance to dry untouched. Most customers report it lasting for several hours, even overnight when undisturbed. How do I clean the paint off my body? You can easily remove the paint with water and if you choose, your regular soap. Some colors may leave a slight stain that will go away relatively quickly. How long is set-up? Preference usually arrives 30-60 minutes in advance, according to event size and details. What do I need to provide? A safe space. Please let Preference know in advance if you will already have a table and two chairs, and a nearby water source.
Cancellation Policy
BOOKING & PAYMENT | Face painting has a one-hour minimum. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received. Additional time, if available, may be purchased separately. SERVICE TIME | Your scheduled time includes the entire face painting service. Late arrivals do not extend the scheduled service time. The artist will stop accepting new faces when necessary to ensure the service ends on time. Designs are based on available time, guest volume, and complexity. Designs may be simplified when necessary to keep the service on schedule. GUESTS & DESIGNS | Face painting is provided for the individuals included in your event arrangements. The artist may simplify or decline a design when necessary due to time, complexity, or safety considerations. HEALTH & SAFETY | Face painting will not be performed on anyone with visible skin irritation, open wounds, active rashes, or other conditions that may make painting inappropriate. Guests should inform the artist of known allergies or skin sensitivities before service. Professional, cosmetic-grade face paints and hypoallergenic supplies are used. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING | Payments are non-refundable. If you request to reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you may receive a 90-day credit toward a future product or service, subject to availability. Requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment are not eligible for a 90-day credit unless due to inclement weather. A missed appointment is not eligible for a refund or credit. ARTIST DISCRETION | The artist reserves the right to refuse service when conditions are unsafe, inappropriate, or likely to compromise the quality or timely completion of the service. PHOTOGRAPHY | Art by Preference may take photographs of setup and guests with permission from client to be used for marketing purposes. No children will be photographed or used for marketing without adult consent.
